These terms cover the pdf-iq website and the PDFiq Android app. Using either means you accept them.
What we provide
Tools that edit PDF files on your own device. The seven web tools are free to use, with no account and no usage limit, for personal and commercial work alike. We intend to keep them that way.
Your files, your responsibility
You keep all rights in the files you process, and you are responsible for having the right to process them. Because the work happens locally, we never receive them and cannot recover a result you did not save. Keep your original until you have checked the output.
Fair use of the service
Do not use the tools to break the law, to strip protection from documents you have no right to open, or to attack the site. You may not resell the hosted tools as your own service; you may of course use the output commercially.
Buying Pro
Pro is not yet on sale, on either surface. When it is, it will be a single payment of $14.99 in US dollars — not a subscription, and there is nothing to renew or cancel. It covers both the web tools and the Android app, so it is bought once rather than once per device.
It will be sold through Paddle, who act as the merchant of record and handle payment and any tax due. Our refund policy applies. Buying happens on this website rather than inside the Android app, and the purchase covers both. Nothing that is free today moves behind Pro.
No warranty
The tools are provided as they are. PDF files vary enormously and some are damaged or unusual; a tool may fail on one, and we try to tell you clearly and specifically when it does. We do not warrant that output will suit a particular purpose, and you should verify important documents before relying on them.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected with the tools is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months, which for the free tools is nothing. We do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
