Refunds

Last updated 13 September 2026

Pro is on sale on this website. The seven web tools are free and stay that way; this page is the refund policy for a Pro purchase, so that anyone buying knows the terms before they pay rather than afterwards.

The window

Thirty days from the date of purchase, for any reason or none. You do not have to explain what went wrong, and we will not ask you to prove you tried.

Thirty days because the seven web tools are free and unlimited: you can find out whether this software suits you long before you pay us anything. Pro adds batch work, a searchable-PDF output from OCR, compression to a size or a dpi you choose, and password protect and remove — and a month is long enough to put those through real work rather than a trial.

How to ask

Write to support@pdf-iq.com from the Google account you signed in with — that is the address the purchase is recorded against, because the page hands it to Paddle rather than asking you to type one. If you have Paddle's invoice for the purchase, quote the reference on it — either the invoice number or the transaction id — and we can find the payment straight away.

Paddle handle purchases of their own at paddle.net, which their invoice names for a problem with a charge. It asks for the email address the purchase was made with — again, the account you signed in with — and finds the purchase from that; requesting a refund is one of the things it offers. Either route reaches the same purchase, and you do not need both.

We will reply within two working days. If we are slower than that, write again; it means the first one did not arrive.

Who pays it back

Paddle. They are the merchant of record for Pro, which means they take the payment, handle any sales tax or VAT, and issue the refund — so the charge comes from Paddle rather than from pdf-iq, and Paddle is who returns the money. The payment appears on a statement as PADDLE.NET* BILLIONEDG, with our name cut short by the length a card statement allows.

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with. We cannot send it anywhere else. How long it then takes to appear is set by your bank rather than by us or by Paddle.

A refund returns the full amount you paid, the tax included. Paddle processes it, and if what arrives is not that, write to us with the reference and we will take it up with them.

What happens to Pro afterwards

A Pro purchase is a one-time unlock covering Pro in the web tools on this site; it does not unlock anything in the Android app. A refund removes it from this website. Anything you made while you had it is yours and stays on your device — we have no copy of it to take back, and no way to reach the files you saved.

If more than one purchase stands on your account, refunding one refunds that payment and leaves the others, so Pro stays until every one of them has been refunded. If Pro is still here after a refund you asked for, that is the reason rather than a refund that did not work — write to us with the reference and we will refund the rest.

A refund takes Pro off a device the next time that device checks with a connection — on this website, the next time your account page is opened there. A device that stays offline keeps Pro until then. That is on purpose: Pro is checked on your own device, so that someone who paid is never locked out for lack of a signal, and the cost of that is that a refund cannot reach a device that is not online.

The seven web tools are not affected. They are free, and a refund changes nothing about your access to them.

Where this does not apply

If the Android app ever sells anything through Google Play, Google's refund process governs that purchase and not this page. It does not today: Pro is bought on this website, and nothing is purchasable inside the app.

Your statutory rights

This policy is in addition to the rights you already have, not instead of them. Nothing here reduces them, and where the two differ, whichever is better for you applies.
