Merging is the one job where file order matters and every tool gets it wrong. Yours arrive in the order you dropped them, and nothing is written until you say so.
No upload, so no deletion policy.
Other tools promise to delete your files in an hour. Yours were never on our disk, so there is no promise to keep.

Merge a dozen files with developer tools open. You will see zero requests, because there is nowhere for them to go.
Order to merge
What gets kept
- Every page, at its original size and quality.
- Bookmarks, nested under each source file's name.
- Links inside a file. Links pointing between files cannot survive a merge.
- Form fields, renamed where two files use the same name — sharing a name in PDF means sharing a value.
- Mixed page sizes stay mixed. We will not scale an A4 contract to fit a Letter cover page.

Copying the pages and rebuilding the bookmarks are both quick; reading the source files and writing the finished one are what take the time. Your device is doing all of it, so nothing has been sent anywhere — stopping just stops the work.

Questions
Is it safe to merge a PDF online?
Nothing is uploaded, so there is no copy on a server to trust. The counter at the foot of this page shows bytes sent, and it stays at zero.
Does this work offline?
Yes. Turn off your wifi and reload the page — it keeps working.
Is there a file size limit?
60 MB. Past that a browser tab stops being able to write the finished file out and sits unresponsive for minutes — it does not crash, it stops being usable — so we refuse rather than hang.
Do I need an account?
No. There is nothing to sign in to, and no limit on how many files you run through it.
Is there a watermark?
No. Nothing is added to the file.
What happens to my file?
It stays on your device. The counter at the foot of every page shows bytes sent and third-party requests, so you can check that rather than take our word for it.
